what do implantation cramps feel like?

Hi Ladies,

i am TTC again after 2 MC's.  i was put on progesterone and baby aspirin just to help.  here is the breakdown.
AF started on 5/20
got positive ovulation test on 6/4
BD'd many times 5/28, 5/30, 6/1, 6/4, 6/5 & 6/7

i started the progesterone on 6/7 which can cause some bloating.

So now for the past few days i have been feelings twinge like pains in my lower belly and vay-jay jay (lack of a better term :)  today i have been having many of them, closer to my right side, which i have previpusly been told that my right side is the side that dropped the egg before.

my question is does this sound like implantation cramping?

also what has implantation cramping felt like for you ladies?

thanks,

Leigh

I've been having mild cramps since last Wednesday and it's now one week before my period and still having mild cramps and a little fatigue and my hubby and I have tried the last three weeks and this all started a week ago about two weeks before my period. So I'm wondering is this just regular cramps or could I possibly be pregnant. Called my doctor waiting to hear back from them but thought I'd post and maybe might hear some similar results. Also in the middle of the night I woke up with mild cramps and my nipples sore but my nipples are fine right now. The cramps are not severe just mild but have been on and off for a week now. Any suggestions would be wonderful! Thank you in advance. :)

hi leighanne,

i am new here, but we are close to being on the same cycle,  and i am having the same questions.  my breakdown:

af may 21
peak cbfm june 8(cd 18)
bd cd 14-19
started progesterone 3dpo
cramping yesterday and today so 4 and 5dpo

i was trying to figure out if the progesterone is causing the cramps or possible implanting.  google brought me here,
and i see you have the same question.  hoping for some insight.

i have had 4 mcs, one resulting after the third round of ivf(first two failed), so it's baby aspirin for me as well for the "unexplained."  i recently found out that although my thyroid functions are normal, i have antibodies present. doc says it's controversial whether or not this contributes to the mcs, but says baby aspirin, folgard, and progesterone should help.  thoughts?

thank you so much.  acutally no low progersterone was not the cause of any of my MC's, nothing was found after all the testing i went through, dr. just put me on them and baby aspirin as a precaution.

i think i will have to use them through week 12 too. which is horrible, the nasty wax feeling etc.  i do not wish these upon anyone.

i will keep my fingers and toes crossed for you.  when is your period due?  i used progestrone suppositories when i first got pregnant as well.  ihad to use it during my first 12 weeks.  were the causes of your other m/cs due to low progestrone?  i wish you a BFP and a healthy pregnancy :-)  keep us posted!!

thank you.  i am hoping that is what it could be.  i never usually get AF cramps and when i have they have been same as you like the day before or even a few hours before AF starts.  with my last 2 pregnancies i did not get any spotting.  i am just praying that it is true and that i do not have a 3rd MC.

my implantation cramps were like a milder version of menstrual cramps.  i usually don't get my menstrual cramps till the day of or day before my period.  this time i was getting them about 7 days before my expected period.  i also had a teeney bit of brownish spotting which only lasted for a wipe or two.  that was my first clue that i was pregnant!!  good luck to you girl!!

I never had implantation cramps, I had implantation bleeding but no cramps.  Although, I did have AF cramps for about a week with no signs of AF.  However, I was already pregnant by then so who knows.

i usually do not get AF cramps at all, that is why this is strange to me.  Does that make anyone think that they could possibly be implantation?
