what exactly does mucus plug look like?

I've been cramping on and off all day and I didn't realize it could be contractions.I'm 38w+5d and earlier when I wiped it was pink now every time I pee I wipe its bright red but its not like gushing with blood it just look like a bright red dot, what is going on? Kinda worried

no I didn't feel any pain just happened to lookdown n seen it after I wiped. sometimes there can b blood mixed on there but u can't miss the mucus part that sounds like something else then I'm not sure what it could b call your doctor and let her no it doesn't look like mucus and see what she says

Is it supposed to hurt when you lose it cause my doctor told me that's what it could be but I was told its not supposed to hurt and it don't look like mucus at all

basically looks like mucus from your nose but a lot more

is something slimy like mucus coming out as well. mucus plug can come in pieces doesn't have to b a big chunk of gunk
