what foods shd prenant mom eat to help TS baby?

My granddaughter just found out her baby will be born with Turner Syndrom.  (just 3 months pregnant)  What foods, fruits, vegetable & anything she can take will help the growth of the baby?  Can the mother help in any way with the develpment of the child?
We have been thrown into a world we know nothing about.  Abortion is not an option.  We really want this little girl.
we would really appreciate any help you can give us.

I am not sure about foods but just wanted to share that I have known 2 people with Turner's syndrome.

One was a girl I knew in college. She was small - short and skinny - but you could not tell by looking at her that she had any type of genetic disorder. The only way that I knew was that she told me. She was very smart and did have some learning disabilities in some areas but nothing that kept her from going straight to a major university right out of high school. I think she told me once that she has a uterus but no ovaries, so she could not have kids of her own but would be able to have a baby through an egg donor.

The other is the daughter of a friend. They found out through amnio while she was pregnant. Her daughter is gorgeous and totally on track developmentally for her age - she's about 3 now. She will probably not be able to have children but other than that should be able to live a completely normal life. I don't know about anything my friend did during pregnancy, but I know they will be giving her daughter growth hormone during certain times of her development so that she won't be as small. (The girl I knew in college did not find out about her Turner's syndrome until after she went through puberty, so by then it was too late to do any of the growth hormones. )

Best of luck to your family.

I'm not sure either, like you I know nothing about this issue, but I would just try to eat super healthy until she finds out more info from the doctors.  No soda, or caffiene and stuff like that.  Juice, milk, and water is probably best and eat a well balanced diet, not a lot of junk food obviously.  I'm sure if you googled it you might be able to find something?  Or there must be a website for this syndrome and could tell you more, good luck and God bless!! :)

I'm not familiar with Turner Syndrome. I would contact the genetic counselor and discuss things that will help baby thrive.
