my wife is on her 8th week of pregnancy...doctor told her that the size of sac seems to be small...is this a big problem? her gs was 6.3 mm in her 6th week...what should be the actual size??i m not having that much knowledge in this subject ..pl help regarding this
at 6 weeks the gestational sac is supposed to measure about 14mm
is not much of a difference so i would say everything is probably alright, my gestational sac was measuring for 6 weeks when i was supposed to be 8 weeks from LMP becuase i actually ovulated late.
gestational sac per weeks:
at 5 weeks the gestational sac measures 6mm, so maybe on her 6 week ultrasound she was actually about 5 weeks aprox
not everybody ovulates on day 14 i ussually ovulated at about day 27
remember pregnancy is counted from LMP (last menstrual period) and if she dosent have a regular 28 day cycle every month she would not be 8 weeks now maybe she ovulated a bit later and she is actually about 7 weeks now.
maybe she ovulated in day 20 or something like that of her cycle instead of day 14.
i dont know why the DR didint explained to you or her that she could just had ovulated a few days later and that everything would probably be ok.
i guess you will just have to wait till the next ultrasound to find out for sure but don't stress to much, i really think everything is ok.
