what to expect?? please someone help!!

I had my Mirena IUD placed 9/5/09 and removed 11/12/10. I had a very bad time with it..cramping all month long and last month I had 2 periods within one month! So happy its out now :) ..now my husband and I are ttc.... we have a 17mon old who was an unexpected blessing...but now Im worried how long it may take to concive after using the IUD. I had a  pretty steady period the whole time with the IUD...After having it removed I didnt bleed that night..next night just a little...then 2 days ago after intercourse I bled very heavy (very bright red)...next day it stopped. Now I have had very light spotting of very dark almost brownish blood...How long will it take for me to concive?...any advice on what to expect? Thanks :)

I had mine taken out 12/09 and I fell pregnant 6/10. For me it felt like forever but my dr said that it was normal. Everyone is different...some women fall pregnant right away and go on to have a healthy pregnancy and some don't. It's hard to predict how your body is going to react. I wish you the best of luck.

Sakinah69- I'm sorry for your loss. =o(

SSBD to you both!

I would wait for at least 3 cycles. I had it removed in August, fell pregnant September miscarried Oct, fell pregnant at the end of Oct and just now started losing the last one. Merina is a horrendous thing to put in your body. I had  A LOT of trouble with it when I had it in, but most of the symptoms I had I didn't connect it to the Mirena until I had it out. I wish you all the luck in the world. (in saying this, everyone is different)
