i hadn't thought of it either. i kinda figured i was already tempting fate with the reduction, wouldn't hurt if i had a ring through it too. i didn't think of it when i had the reduction but the doc said to me he'd do the best he could so i could potentially breast feed. good for him to mention it cause i was under 18 and not thinking that way at all!
anyhoo, glad my experience was able to help answer one of your questions/concerns. : ) its nice to be able to share things like that.

sounds great!! i have had a breast reduction and my nipple pierced and i lactated. if i had been more persistent i may have been able to breast feed but we gave up pretty quick. i hope that wont be the case this time around. i was really worried i wouldn't be able to lactate and then two days before he arrived i noticed some drips. i was so happy to see that! funny how gross things are exciting. lol

Yeah i will have a midwife (the honeycomb suite midwifes) and they will do all my checks from now and even deliver thr baby when its time too. Were i live you will most likey only see a doctor if there is a problem with your pregnancy.
I know it would be hard but i would like to do the stretchs as everyone says they really seem to help you out when giving birth as your bkdy is ised to the more difficult positions.
I would love nothing more than to breast feed as i feel it is so natural and good for the baby. I am unsure if i could though as i have my nipples pierced and im wondering if the scar tissue may affect the way i would breast feed. I still have a long way to go before i look at the bitthiny plans but its not thatassive over here. If you want gas and air they just give you it. I wouldnt want the birthing pool but you do get your own room here. (Well my sister did)

hey,
i would love to have the same birth experience i had. i got to my room, they gave me half a shot of morphine just in case it got worse and i was out of the med window, it didn't effect me. then things got more intense and i took their offer of gas. it worked really well. then the nurse came and took it from me and said it was time to push. i remember thinking how did she know?! then i had an impulse to push so i did and an hour later my boy was born. so half a shot of morphine ( i didn't notice the shot at all ) and then the gas and then nothing after that. i had been doing perineum stretched for the last month with my husband and doing red raspberry leaf tea. i didn't want the needles either and i didn't want to be cut open if i didn't have to be. i had two stitches for just in case, though he thought i hadn't torn. its amazing how much there is to consider to a birth plan. watching a video is a great idea. they can be a little scary. but knowing how it works and doing research will help you with understanding what you are feeling. (though you may not be caring what the process is while giving birth, its a bit distracting) the stretches i did really got me ready for the ring of fire and what to expect.
i think i want to try the baby crawl this time. i'd like to let my little one latch on its own so i can really try and get a handle on breast feeding this time around. Do you plan on breast feeding?
i know the health care systems are different. Are you going to a doctor or midwife? i love the idea of a midwife but where I live there is one available for a huge area and only books 2 patients a year. We like our doctor though he is an hour away.
how about your, what are you hoping for in the birthing room?

Its so far away still but i dobt want a c section or the ep neddle as i hate the thought of a needle in my back! Urghh.. i know its going to be so painful. I think i want to watch to watch a birth video eventually just to see what will be going on down there. What about you? Have you thought about what birth you want having already been through it once??

have you guys been using the pregnancy thing on here? how are you liking the information they share with you? according to them i've had morning sickness 100% of the time. not so cool. today has been the first day in a long time that i felt somewhat okay and could manage doing a few chores around the house. certainly am having to rely on my hubby though.
anyone else already worried about labour? i've done it before but still a little nervous about it.

Oh wow! Congratulations! Thank you for your reply. Ive spoken to the midwifes and they wont be doing a scan early so sadly i have to wait about a month to check if my little cherub has a heartbeat. Ive only felt sick, very sore lower back, on and off growing pains/slight cramps with major heartburn and about 50 trips a day to the loo!

hi,
congratulations on your pregnancy!
this is my fourth pregnancy, second child (fingers crossed) i am 5 weeks 6 days. i have a bunch of symptoms but i'm also on progesterone pills so that makes things worse. my nausea is really bad and i am always sleepy not to mention the tender breasts. i had an ultrasound yesterday and we saw our little one, she/he has a heart beat!! so we're thrilled and are hoping to hear a heart beat at our first doctors appointment.
