Thanks for replying hopefully she will call or text me soon. I gave her my prepaid phone but it only has like 100 n something mins left. It just hard becuz she looked very sad when she was leaving n plus im still dealing with the stress of my brother trying to commit suicide. I'm not the oldest but I'm the one holding my family together my mom past 12 years ago so i had to almost stepped in as an second mom.
They are wonderful! You can go out to the shops after a few days. Aslong as they know your safe, you may have a staff member go with you. They can lend you a mobile phone. They will look after the kids for u to pop to the shops. They will give you vouchers for food for ur room. BUT no men what so ever are to be let in the premises. Not even delivery men or doctors. If her husband comes to the gates and he causes a scene the police are called with out question. As other women are there. This is in australia. Im sure you can get a phone number to keep in contact with her for legal reasons. But other than that it is one of the safest places forcher and her children
My mil works at one. She said that they can leave whenever they want but if they want to come back to stay they could not have room later in the day unless they make arrangments with the director. They can call out but if you were to call in they wouldn't confirm or deny your sis was there unless she told them she was expecting a call from you. Luckily if she's in there she's safe from her husband. Hopefully you can figure out a way to reach her. Sou DS like you did all you could!
Im sure with any women shelter u are not allowed to tell where they are. My hubbys cousin lived with us for awhile then went to one of those. We knew the location as we took care of her and all but we werent allowed to tell anyone. She was allowed to go anywhere really as long as she was bsck before a certain time. She was allowed to spend a weekend with us but no one else. They had strict rules bit at least she was safe and we knew she was well taken care of
