worried:-(

Good Morning!
so, I have posted a few times about the pain i am having in my belly... it is at the top right to center of my belly, a burning pain. and does hurt to the touch.. it has been going on for about a week now, and seems to be getting worse. Well... last night i called into Labor and Delivery bc it was starting to scare me a bit.. around 1230 i finally got a phone call back! The midwife told me it was stretching, and its nothing to worry about. UNLESS... the pain is on my right side ALONG WITH blurred vision and headaches.. which i do not have.. So, i was up most the night bc i just dont see how the pain im having could be stretching???? all the other stretching pain i  have had has not felt like this... Has anyone else felt this?? and did any of it feel like a burning pain????

i saw something in one of my books saying that "burning, superficial pain on the belly can be related to stretching."  but as kirby mentioned before, it feels different than other stretching sensations i have had.  luckily for me, mine haven't been too painful...i hope they don't gradually get worse!!

that's what I'm saying my friend had. She couldn't even lay on her sides at the end of her pregnancy and hardly could even lay on her back, she mostly slept in her husband's recliner that way it was stretching the ligaments anymore than they already were. I was stating that I myself never experienced it, but I know she went through hell and back with her's but again, the pain in the long-run is short-lived if that makes any sense (trying to look at hte positive).

The cramping for those of you having it is completely normal. However, if they come and go LIKE contractions and they're very painful or alot of pressure felt on your pubic bone, that means it's aggrivating your uterus and best go in to get checked for any dilating even if you don't have the tightening above your bellybutton cuz I was having every symptom but the contractions itself and turns out, I'm 85% effaced and now up to 2 cm dilated I then later started getting the full blown contractions and now on meds to mellow the cramping and/or contractions (Nifedipine). I have the same problems with the horrible discomfort ANY time these days (I'm due August 30th but they're expecting me to deliver around the 10th) but that pretty much comes with the territory. IF it's to the point where it's effecting your day, dont hesitate to call your midwives and even ask them about the physical therapy. I opted not to get the physical therapy after strict bedrest because of the fact that I'm going natural and I don't want my body getting comfortable and get the wrong idea about this labor (this is my second child). LOL. But believe it or not, a good bit of pelvic pain is normal especially for low carriers or when your baby descends preparing for D-Day... I have to do the waddle these days and it's excrutiating to walk for long and to get into our huge truck... bad juju for any prego. So are stairs for the pelvic pain, pressure, and cramping.
As far as the ligaments, it happened to a friend of mine who was tiny tiny tiny when she got pregnant so her ligaments sent her through the mill and back. I have lower and side ligament pains but never a burning... just that lovely stabbing pain when I BLINK the wrong way (so it feels). But just remember the pain isn't forever :) Hope they can give yall something or have you do a certain stretch to ease that pain! GL

I spoke with my midwife today.... and she told exsactly what we all have been having.. It is our muscles/ligaments tearing off our ribs and breast bone, and can be extremely painful!! and hurt to the touch! Mine seems to be getting worse too!

i was beginning to think i was a little crazy...i have the "brush burn" feeling on the right side of my tummy too!!  i thought maybe my skin was stretching and it was just dry, but it doesn't feel dry--plus, i moisturize 1-2x daily!  it kind of hurts to the touch, but isn't incredibly painful.  and it doesn't feel like a deep within pain, more like a pain on my skin.  i wonder why we all have it on the right side??  i've never ever heard of such a thing.  it just started for me today.

Ive not been on here in weeks and have specifically came online to ask the same question. I have been having light period like cramping for a week now and shooting pains when baby moves. Ive also got a pain in top right of my belly which is very painful to touch and feels like bruising.

I have midwife today so will ask her to check it out but was told last time i asked that it was stretchig as there is not enough room for her in there at the moment. I have no clue!!! All i know is that i am SOOOOOO uncomfortable, hot all the time and my pelvic pain is getting worse by the day. 32 days to go :(

Think she's be making an appearance before then though
