worried about carrying

if ihave had an eptomic pregnancy before is it possible iwont be able to carry again im ten weeks nd three days nd ihave not had an ultrasound yet my first ultra sound is on november fourteenth ireally want anultrasound to make sure the babys in the correct spot buh ihave to wait ihavent had any sign of bleeding whatsoever buh my last pregnancy ibled for two months straight ididnt know iwas pregnant ihad went to the doctor they told me it was just gas nuh two weeks after that istarted getting killer cramps nd icouldnt walk with my back straight up iwould pass out nd nd vomit buh ididnt think anything so idecided to go to the E.R and they took a pregnancy test nd it came back positive they said thats why ihave been feeling the way iswas feeling when iwas getting ready to go home they told me to sit up on the side of the bed nd once istood up i passed out and feel on the floor the nurses went in and put an iv in me nd told me they were going to keep me over night iwas so really scared the next day they told me if ihad went home the night before that iwouldve bleed out nd died in my sleep they told me iwas lucky nd that god was lookin over me. ihad a d&c nd istayed in the hospital for two more days because everything iwould eat iwould vomit....except water nd drinks etc....(liquids) but im just worried something bad is wrong ihope to god everythings fine iahvent had any pains in this pregnancy no vomiting no morning sickness no bleeding so im hoping that god will let this be.. please comment on this thank you

That is true.. With an Ectopic a D&C wouldn't be possible because a D&C scraps the uterus clean and an Ectopic is in the tube. They would have done surgery or given you the shot.

They just did a d&c with your first ectopic?? That does not sound right, especially if you were bleeding internally. They would have done surgery to remove the tube that burst and to repair the bleeding.  At almost 11 weeks you would know if it was an ectopic already, if you did have a previous ectopic, which it doesn't sound like you did with the way you described your last experience they should have done an early scan at around 6 or 7 weeks to rule another one out.

I have had an ectopic pregnancy where they had to do emergency surgery to remove my right tube and pump out the 2 units of blood that I had in my abdomen. Since that ectopic I have had one child who is 2 1/2 years old and I am currently 22 weeks pregnant again. There is no reason to believe you can not carry a baby after an ectopic. The only risk is another ectopic or if when you had the surgery they cut into your uterus, not the tube. They then would treat it like a previous c-section. Good Luck.

i don't know why they haven't scanned you earlier if you had an ectopic before!! if your not having pains or bleeding i think you'll be fine, and their is no prove that ectopic pregnancy's it will effect future pregnancy's!! good luck :) x

If you were going to have another Ectopic pregnancy you would already know about it because your tube would have burst. A past Ectopic pregnancy doesn't affect your ability to carry a future pregnancy.
