I took my belly button ring out early in my pregnancy, and haven't worn it since, but still today I could put it in. The hole didn't close...it does look bad since I had stretch marks but I can still put it in.
ammanda~~~I had both my tongue and belly button done, and honestly the tongue hurt more. But neither hurt that much to me...
I took my nipple piercing straight out as soon as i knew i was pegnant. I heard it takes time to hee,l if you are breast feeding. Heeling like inside. Not sure if true but not going to take the risk. Maybe ask your doc. I'm going to see if mine are alright..
I took my nipple piercings out for a few hours one night my ex asked me to after having them pierced for 4 years and when I went to put them back in they were already closed I had to have them repierced!
This is why I think I'll wait till around 7-8 months before I remove them. I think I'll just wait and see how my bellybutton does if it starts to bother me I'll put in the plastic one if that doesn't work then I'll just take it out. I've had to have it pierced twice also after 3 years hoop got bent took it out to get it fixed and after only 8 hours it was already closed! I guess I just heal quickly.
I took mine out but the hole is still open (I've had it for almost 9 years). But there are some nasty scars that weren't there before. The skin looks darker :-/ It definitely depends on how your belly goes with the pregnancy. I took mine out like 3 months ago because it was sticking out. I also took out my hoohah piercing for obvious reasons (besides thinking its trashy lol. I got it cause of a dare with my best friend!) and another one in my ear. I'm leaving my tongue one in though.
I had my belly button pierced at 15 but took it out at about 19 and had my 1st child at 20. The hole was long closed but it stretched and scarred horribly anyway. I have also pierced my eye brow twice my nipples twice, and have my tongue pierced.......I would say of all my piercings the eyebrow hurts the most and the belly button was the least painful. The first time I had my nipples pierced I took them out at the hospital to breast feed my third child and never had a problem. They just closed within a matter of a few hours.
i've had my belly button pierced for 6 years and i planned on leaving mine in (with the maternity bar) for my whole pregnancy but ...my belly button is popping out and actually was trying to force the piercing out from the skin poking up under the lip of my belly button...and it started to get red around the hole so i took it out...the hole itself has stretched a little but not too bad my belly button isnt a full blow outtie...yet lol but its deffinitly flat. so for me i didnt have a choice because i literally dont even have a lip on my belly button anymore. the hole itself doesnt seem to be closing fully but i really have no idea weather or not ill be able to use it after pregnancy :( bummed....but if it does close ill just go get it repierced because i honestly dont think it hurt at all and i was barely 15 when i had it done.
belly button piercing didn't hurt much at all to my surprise. and my threshold for pain is pretty crappy lol.
i took my belly button ring out very early on. im 31 weeks not and definately started having stretch marks from it. starting to be kind of painful as it's probably starting to close up. no stretchmarks anywhere else though lol.
I've had my belly pierced since i was 15 and i took it out at four months. I didnt know what would happen if i left it in. Plus i had my top and bottom pierced. Im hoping they will still be open after the baby comes. If not o well i guess! I have a few piercings and i think my belly hurt the least!
im not sure haha ive never gotten anything pierced other than ears and belly button...i can't imagine it would hurt any worse than a tongue piercing. i mean it hurt but it wasn't unbearable. if you want one you should get one after cole gets here. it was totally worth the pain to me. i love mine. i just hope it doesn't get all weird lookin.
Hey My sister had her belly button pierced while being pregnant. And hers didn't stretch at all or bother her, and she still has hers in today from the pregnancy and giving birth. so I'm sure you'll be fine to leave it in, if it starts bothering you put the plastic one in. She also had her tongue pierced too, but that one she had to take out due to problems with her gums or something, her tongue got swollen or something I don't remember lol, but I have my tongue pierced and Ive had it for almost 5 years so I hope I don't have to take mine out. I'm very found of it. lol Ugh and Ive had my tongue pierced, my lip pierced and my nose pierced5 times, never my belly button cause I heard that it hurts the worst. Is that true cause I really want one?
I have had my belly button pierced for almost 10 years. During my last pregnancy, I used one of the plastic piercings and noticed a small amount of stretching. This time around I have kept my normal piercing in (I'm almost 26 weeks now) and have had no issue so far. My dr. said it was fine to leave in the normal piercing as long as it was comfortable, then switch over if needed.
I am also wondering about this I've had it pierced for 14yrs. I also have my nipples pierced and I plan on breast feeding. I am wondering when I should take them out. I was thinking about 26wks or so. I plan on talking to my Dr also.
Hey i dont know what will happen if u take it out but i got one of thoes preggy plastic ones and i ended up with some pretty nice scars where the skin had stretched
