23 wks and diagnosed with BV

Hey there I am currently 23 weeks pregnant and yesterday at my dr visit I was told I had BV this is something I never heard of so of course I have googled it and read some scary stuff not only about BV but also about the metronidazole that was prescribed to treat this. Has anyone else experienced this or taken this medication ? Hoping this will not affect my growing babes and also hoping it will not come back because it seems to have a high level of recurrence. I guess I should stop reading all the pages like my fiancé said but it's hard to think I could be hurting our unborn baby. Please if anyone has any experience or input please share!!!!
:) thanks

Bv is bacterial vaginitus. Feels like a yeast infection. Hope you feel better. That no fun

You will be just fine :).  Bv is very common.  It is often mistaken as a yeast infection.  You and babes will be ok :).  And yes I agree stay away from google lol.  Sometimes it can be helpful. Other times it can be harmful.

Bv more common than you think and a lot of people don't even know they have it, it's just a imbalance down there, just take the meds like the doc said and stay away from google, you and baby will be fine, just make sure you follow doctors instructions
