3rd c section and nervous!

Any other moms have 3 c-sections? My first was an emergency after 33+ hours of hard labor and the healing was hard... My second was scheduled and it was much much easier.  I'm just scared to have a third (this is also our final I'm having a tubal) so any input would be great!

Twinz .. In all honesty it's not that bad. Of course you have nervous feeling I'm having my 3rd and feel the same way. But, you don't feel anything except some uncomfortable pressure and movement, it may seem like your in there forever but honesty the suturing takes the longest. They'll have the babies out fairly quickly. You'll get a spinal it starts to numb right away, then when your lying down they insert your catheter which you don't feel, they test you to see if you feel anything then they start. Take out babies that's usually the most pressure and if you feel nauseated tell your anesthesia dr and they'll push meds that work ASAP, (I have a huge vomiting fear and the meds work wonders).  They clean out your uterus and suture you up which is usually 30 mins in itself...than off to recovery, spinal usually wears off about 2 hours but they usually give you a shot of pain medicine that lasts a few more hours. Getting the catheter out I won't lie is very odd and peeing the first time is painful/odd. But the sooner you get out of bed the better you'll heal / feel. I got extremely bad gas pains In my shoulders with my second if you do make sure you ask for stool softener and gas meds ASAP. Once you hold yor babies its all worth it.. Good luck!!

Same for me. All 3 I got a spinal block and couldn't feel from the chest down. It safer and easier for them to monitor how you are doing if you are awake.

My spinal numbed me up to my breasts , they don't usually do a full sedation unless its an emergency or medicAl reasons

My OB told me 6 is the most she's comfortable doing. I think it really depends on the Dr.

I'm getting them tied for safety also, I was advised by many drs this is the last c section I can have and I can't deliver vaginally cause my pelvis is too small.

Yep an hour for my third.

I opted to not get my tubes tied. Originally that was the plan my husband and I had decided on but after thinking about it I just felt that I wasn't ready to make that permanent of a decision. Our plan now is if we have another child then I'll get them tied and if we don't he'll get a vasectomy.

With your 3rd surgery took almost an hour? That's not bad, I went right up to my recovery room with my daughter as soon as I was done. I don't know exactly how long it too but my husband said it was relatively quick

I think it may have taken a little longer just because they weren't rushing. I think start to finish I was in the OR almost an hour and then an hour in recovery.

With my daughter I was up walking around slowly 4 hours after I delivered but that was also largely due to needing to get the gas out of my shoulders cause the pain was horrible.. Did it take much longer than your second? I don't remember much of my first I was so out of it from exhaustion. I'm afriad of throwing up on the table, I didn't with the others I felt nausea but the second I told my anesthesia dr he pushed meds and I was golden

I just had my third c-section. First was the same as yours, 30 hours of labor to have an emergency c-section. This last one was my best recovery. I think it has to do with that I got up and moving just 13 hours after. I was off IV pain meds after 24 hours and got to have my IV out which mentally make me feel better not having that stuck in my hand.

I have had 5 csections, first also emergency. It gets easier because you know what to expect and how to handle yourself, but each one has been different in some ways. Don't be afraid, just trust your doctor and everything will be fine.
