6 weeks preg., no embryo seen and worried

This is my first time on here. I found this website while looking for some information about my pregnancy, and I am very excited to know there is a place like this with people going through some of the same things.  I am 25 and pregnant with my first child. I went for my first ultrasound on May 23rd thinking I was 6 weeks by my LMP, (however my periods are not regular).  All they saw at this visit was the gestational sac and said that I was probably just 5 weeks or so.  Well, I went back on June 2nd for what should be my 6 week visit ( and I know I am at least 6 weeks going by the earliest point you can have a positive preg. test) and the gestational sac had grown and they saw a good yolk sac but were unable to see a fetal pole or hb yet.  This worried me bc everywhere I read it says that almost always at 6w. you should see the fetal pole.  Has anyone else definetely been 6 w. but unable to see the baby yet.  Should I be worried?.  I have also had some cramping similar to period cramping in my lower back with light spotting, sometimes reddish and sometimes brownish. Has anyone had this as well and yet everything be ok. I have to wait  a whole week to go for another us, and it is just so hard to wait and not know if any of this is normal. Please give my your honest opinion. I dont want false reassurance. Thank you very much, Beth

I'm about 6 weeks pregnant. And all they really see right now is the sac. No egg sac. No baby yet too. Maybe its too early too. Bev.

I went today for an ER U.S. They did a pelvic window ultrasound as well. They informed me that they could see the yolk sac which was a good sign, but yet it was still too early to see the fetus. I had a miscarriage 3/27/2012, and never had a menstrual cycle after the miscarriage before this pregnancy. Everyone said it was too soon. My hormone levels were back to normal, I was no longer pregnant on 03/15/2012, little did I know I was. I got pregnant 3/14/2012, I am now 6w1d. My Beta-HCG test came back with good results. My hormone levels are 21,200. They said this is good, the normal range for 6wks is 4,000-100,000 (wow what a range). At 5 weeks my levels were around 16,000, so the doctor says the increase is a good sign. I am still quite paranoid whereas I miscarried less than 2months ago. I had a couple light brown spots a couple weeks ago, it went away after 2-3days. I was told it was more than likely implantation of the fetus in to the uterus, and as long as it went away not to worry. I am glad I have not had anymore. I hope everything goes well for everyone!

I am 47 yrs and trying to have a baby. My LMP is 28/2 and then had pregnancy test (urine) with result Weakly positive on 29/3. Doctor told to have USG on 1/4 but I got fever and had to go to doctor again on 31/3 when she ordered a USG. Trans USG had the following report: An anechoic lesion measuring 4.3 mm simulating G sac noted in uterine cavity corresponding to <5 weeks with poor trophoblastic reaction. No yolk sac/fetal pole seen at present. What does it mean. I am confused. There was no pain in stomach except fever & cramps in leg with headache which also disappeared in three days. Meanwhile urine infection was detected and I had full course medicine for same. There is no other challange except mild colorless or yellowish discharge in few days..Can any one explain it for me whether everything is fine. Today is 6 week and doctor has told for a USG in 8 week.

Pls how did solve your problem. I should be 6weeks and 5days . I bleeded for 3days and now am spoting but my blood test kept saying positive and am  having all the symptoms but had three scan already and it showed nothing. My doctor said the scan show some liquid stuff outside my womb which he said could be pelvic infection  but he didnt sound so sure to me, he then suggesting for D and C , and the though of that scares me . Been soooo worried. Please help, my Handsome and I want this baby sooooo much.

Hello, I had the same thing last night when I went to the doctor and he said that there is only the sac and nothing to be seen yet. After my calculations I am in the 6th week, had a bit of a brown discharge and it hurts a bit like before having the period, but they say this is normal. I am due to go back on the 29th of this months, so 2 weeks to wait. The doctor told me to take progesteron and folic acid and that we have to wait and see. I'm glad to see all your comments as it got my spirits up and hoping to get some good news oin 13 days :).
