Announcing via social media

So I'll be a few days shy of second trimester when its our second wedding anniversary. Have been planning on announcing it via fb on our anniversary but now not so sure. I just feel like if we put it out there it will be real and if something happens we will have to explain it. Has anyone else posted on fb or shared they were expecting then miscarried? I'm just shy of 9 weeks and so far just family and some friends know.

I don't use fb.

I'm very antisocial ... but I've warned all friends family etc noting  of my pregnancy is to be shared on social networking sites.

I didn't announce my pregnancy to anyone until after 12weeks... told my parents and siblings... then his.

That happened to my cousin a few years ago. She waited this time around and is due in a few months!

I miscarried in 2008 after I had announced it early in the pregnancy.  And it did suck having to explain it. Fast forward to this pregnancy.  I waited to announce it till I was into my second trimester to announce it.
