BV in my first trimester...

So I just found out two days ago that I am pregnant. According to the fire date calculator I am about 4 weeks prego. My bf and I were planning on going to planned parenthood this Saturday to confirm and have an ultrasound done; however, tonight I recognized signs of BV. I've had issues with bacterial vaginosis ever since I was 17 (I'm now 30) so it's very easy for me to recognize when it creeps up every few months. I read an article that said BV has been linked to premature births and miscarriage so I am pretty worried about waiting over the next few days for the doctor.

Has anyone else had this issue early in their pregnancy? If so, were you prescribed the standard 5 day metrogel treatment or something else? I really want to wait a few more days so my bf and I can go together and see our little peanut for the first time together (he doesn't get off work in time for the clinic hours). Will I be okay waiting a few more days or should I go right away?

I had it in my 1st trimester.  However my Dr prescribed me an antibiotic but I couldn't take it until I was 13 weeks. If BY is left untreated it can cause miscarriage or birth problems. I had my 1st ultrasound at 8 weeks

My doctor actually prescribed a antibiotics for me. Not the gel. But I guess it just depends on the dr. Can you make a earlier appt for planned parenthood? So they can just take care of the bv and do the ultrasound all in one appt.

I'd go right away.  An ultrasound at 4wks won't show much.  At almost 7 wks I was able to see what appeared to be a sweet pea lol.
