Baby is here!

Baby Ethan James arrived 27/11 at 04.58 weighing 8lb at 38+4 Was induced using propess 24/11 then had prostin tablet 24 hours later which made me 3cm dilated after 6 hours so they were going to take me to delivery suite at 10am and break my waters but had no beds so had to wait. Then had ctg done at 6pm and doctor came to check it and said there was decelerations of babies heart rate and we needed to go delivery suite straight away. Got there and put back on ctg which was better by now and picking up strong contractions every 3 minutes which I couldn't really feel. The midwife then tried to break my waters but couldn't so went to get the doctor to do this. He was in theatre so then ended up waiting another 2 hours till 9:15pm for them to change over shift and new doctor came broke water's which was very painful and she really struggled to do this. Then contractions became a lot stronger. Was examined after 4 hours and still only 5cm dilated so midwife recommended I have an epidural as they needed to put me on syntocin drip. Had epidural at 2.30am hooked up to drip at 3.30am contractions very painful by this point as epidural was not working properly anaesthetist came and checked it then gave me 2 extra doses which took edge off then had urge to push at 4.45am and told not too as couldn't be far enough along. Examined again at 4.50am and was 10cm so was told to push. 2 pushes later he was here. Sorry it's long but I thought I would share as I know I enjoy reading other people's labour stories.

Thanks everyone. Got an infection now though so in hospital on iv antibiotics they're saying it's retained placenta which I also had with my second child and been told it's more likely to happen again if you've had it before.
