Baby is the wrong way round..

Hi! I'm at 33 weeks and baby is still the wrong way round in breech position. Looking for advice on how to get baby to turn before the midwife has to get involved at 36 weeks. Any good experiences?

check out the spinning babies website for some exercises. Moxibustion or acupuncture are thought to be useful, and also seeing a chiropractor who can do the Webster technique. I have to say, in two previous pregnancies, none of that worked for me, and i had to have a doctor try to turn the baby. I hope you have better luck!

Yeah my 3rd baby was breech until 38 weeks, and this one was transverse until 37 weeks. Spend as much time on all fours as you can, and try not To worry. There's still plenty of time, baby will move x

You still have lots of time. My first didn't flip until 37 weeks. But, if you want to be proactive,  your can spend a lot of time on your hands and knees doing pelvic tilts, or with your butt in the air (downward facing dog yoga pose...or as close as you can get at 33 weeks. Haha). Putting ice on the top of your stomach and warmth on the bottom can help some babies turn, as can rubbing diluted peppermint oil on the top of your stomach a few times a day. Good luck!

Haha! You're not the first person that's suggested brain freezing the baby to encourage a move. I have hilarious visions of what this would look/feel like for a tiny internal person. Folk do swear by it though so it's not getting ruled out. If the yoga poses can double use and help my back ache, I'm game for that too! Thanks for the advice.

You have lots of time left..my daughter was still in the wrong position half the time at my 38 week apt. She dropped feet first...then came back up and tried a few more positions.
My OB wasn't concerned and said until I went into labor or was closer to 40 weeks he (and the midwife) weren't concerned how she was positioned as 98% of babies in their 35 years  correct it themselves. Just stay active (as possible) and try relaxing streches.

That sounds promising! Hope my midwife agrees :-/
That's exactly what's happening with mine..I'm 39 weeks on Wed, and baby had been transverse and breech, Dr isn't worried unless I go into labor. Baby has plenty of time to turn
