Back labor?? HELP!

I'm 40 weeks today, and for about 6 hrs my back has been killing me. I haven't had any back pain this entire pregnancy. This is my third baby, however, I was induced with my first 2 so I don't know if I'm in actual labor right now. The pain is CONSTANT, and in my lower back. Sometimes it gets intense, but other than that I really just feel in constant pain. Have any of you experienced this, and it be actual labor? I hate to go in, and it ends up being NOTHING. My husband works out of town, and I have 2 kids that have school in the morning, so I'm trying to avoid wasting everyone's time. Thanks for looking!

I had back labor big time and in the beginning I felt contractions and counted when they were close I went in and I was almost told to go home till they realized I was effaced at 85% and dilated to 3cm... Never hurts to go in!!!

Doesn't hurt to call your ob / midwife and explain what's going on. Things to look for? Bleeding,  water breaking,  . You could be in the early stages of labor, which the hospital will just watch you to see if your dilating,  take a warm bath,  relax, then make the call. Good luck!!!

That's exactly what I felt with my back labor but I also had a lot of pressure. You should definitely go in and get checked out.
