They gave me a shot to prevent labor during the version. That was with my second baby. The c-section had me off me feet for the most part until I got my staples out...in about 10 days. But do not push yourself to work. You need to remember its major surgery. I made sure i moved around everyday but only for a little.

With my other 3 they were vaginal births.. I was back at work 3 weeks after I had them and was up and doing everything the next day.
My doctor said I wouldn't be able to do that??
The only risk I was told is that it might break my water and put me into labor I'm almost 39 weeks so she's full term

This is also my forth pregnancy.  Breech baby. I am 35+4. My doctor won't do a version because the risk of placenta detachment. I am so scared and do not want a c-section. However, I would much rather have a c-section then chance loosing her. Weigh the risk ladies.

I'm going to be as gentle as I can. With my first I did a version. It hurt like heck even with the epidural. The lower part of my rib cage was being pushed on by two different doctors because he was up so high. His heart rate dropped below 70 THREE different times. My husband put his foot down after that. Not to mention that my stomach was literally bruised from all the force. I did alright recovering from a cesarean though! I'd honestly rather recover from surgery than ever have a version again....

My baby was still breeched when I went to my last appointment. Tuesday I have another. Before, I could tell she was breeched, but now she's shifted into a different position. I still don't feel she's flipped completely yet, but won't know for sure until Tuesday.  My midwife suggested a few things we could try if she's still not turned by 36 weeks. 33 weeks, 3 days today.

I'm scared to death of a c section as well. I've never had the best outcomes with surgeries. Always had to be revived or came close. I hope you ladies the best. Let us all hope for the best.

I was told if it was not your first baby there was greater success rate with a version. My first baby was breech and refuses to turn no matter what. We tried chiropractic and stuff from spinningbabies.com but nothing worked. Since its your 4th though you could look into it. Spinningbabies.com or find a chiropractor who does the Webster technique. That's a special technique for turning babies that chiropractors are trained to do. Its not dangerous and they don't mess with the baby at all. Its just a special adjustment.

My second pregnancy was breech. They tried a version but was unsuccessful. Fyi, it like hell! I'm glad we tried it, but the c-section wasn't all that bad.
