Can emotional trauma cause miscarriage??

Hi all. I'm a ft at 8+6. Tonight I had an emotional event occur where my best friend was thought to have been kidnapped and murdered; I felt I had to call the cops and now it turns out she is just drunk and off partying. My question it's this: what is the likely hood of miscarriage after the horrible, terrible, hurtful emotions I and currently feeling?? I am very scared right now. Any thoughts??

Just try to relax my first three months I was completely hormonal constantly screaming and crying fighting with my bf. But my son is fine and I'm 8 months. Just take it easy take warm baths or showers I know it's hard trust me but remember your baby feels all your emotions

Thank you for your responses ladies. I discovered in the last hour that I was partially right. She was kidnapped. She is alive. She was raped. The police lied to keep to protect her. I saved her life. Now my lower back hurts and I'm cramping. I'm scared

My best friend lost her father when she was pregnant. He baby girl graci is now 7. We can handle a lot of stress but your baby does feel it as they say. If you don't have any pain or vaginal bleeding I'm sure your fine. Ease your mind by watching a movie it something that calms you when stressful things come your way. That's what I do. Take care of yourself!

I miscarried in dec, the md said that it's normally a genetic defect that causes miscarriage and that babies are super resilient. Good luck.

I'm not sure because I haven't experienced something as scary as that but I don't think you should worry. That would only continue the stress and thats not good for you or baby. Just try to relax and not worry anymore. As long as you don't feel something is physically wrong with your pregnancy everything should be normal.
