I'm really curious - I only did it once last month so I know exactly my intercourse date.. my doctor said from the ultrasound my conception date and it was exactly like the intercourse date.. is it common? make sense? can it be exactly the same date?

If you know the conception date then that is the most accurate. Count weeks from that date. Also, the most accurate reading for dates is the first ultrasound 8-9 weeks. If it is truly accurate it will correlate with your conception... so voila! You were right with your conception date and the u/s was accurate!

I know they count from LPM he still told me my conception date and it was the same as intercourse date. I've heard the conception date can be a day or two after intercourse date so I was just wondering if anyone else got the same they at the doctor's ultrasound

Not sure but due dates are for the most part a good guess.  Rarely are they totally accurate.  good luck

Well, that makes sense because technically you conceived on the day you had sex (the conception date). However, the duration of your pregnancy is usually calculated and measured from the date of your last period, not when you conceived (which was likely during ovulation). Regardless of all of that, you gotta just go with what the doc said anyway lol, because that's likely accurate. Congrats on your pregnancy!
