Drinking Castor Oil makes you go into labor because it dehydrates you. That's the reason you go into labor.

I did try it I tried it 2 days ago with 1 tablespoon in a cup of kool-aid in the afternoon around almost 3 then I tried it again yesterday with 2 tablespoons in oj. That time I drank it in the a.m. on an empty stomach. Nothing happened either time so I'm just going to let him come when he wants to.

I took castor oil to try and induce my labor and I had the most horrible experience.  I pooed non stop through labor, it wasn't just one time it was the entire 6 hours I was dilating and pushing. I was so embarrassed.  I didn't tell the hospital either. Even after having my daughter I was still pooping. They found an underlying condition and I had to be put on pain meds so I was able to harden my stool a little. But good luck to you if you do. It had no real results for me. Technically, I just dehydrated myself so much they decided to help me go in labor.

This was the second time i tried this during pregnancy. First with my son n nothing. So good luck. I will not try it again as it just made me feel sick all day

If you see a midwife she can tell you if you are a candidate for it working for you. Most of the time only drs that support all natural deliveries will recommend castor oil, they normally work with midwives.

Passing stool is pretty much normal in babies that go over. I took it with my first five it worked with my first and fifth and I had no problems. On the other hand I did not take it with my last because of the risk of fast delivery and I was gbs positive. I went over and was at 42 1/2 week's and he had passed stool. He was fine but stuff happens during pregnancy and labor. If I would have just taken the oil he may have came faster but it would have decreased the risk of passing stool.

Everyone is different and not everyone is a candidate but you should consult your Dr or midwife first.

It depends on your body, some women have said they ended up having still born babies, others say it didn't work just extra trips to the bathroom. And some have went into labor hours after. I personally don't want to risk anything happening to baby so I'll let things flow naturally. Good luck : )

I looked on baby center and alot of people have actually drank it an it worked for them. I drank some yesterday but not on an empty stomach so that may be why nothing happened and they all drank 2 tablespoons I had only drank 1.

I've seen loads of women talk about castor oil and most just end up with extremely loose bowels rather than a baby. My advice is to be very active,  sex, long walk,  star jumps and going up and down stairs.
