Cod liver oil???

I have heard a few things from older moms... I'm 30 with my second baby and I have been told that cod liver oil is very good for the baby... And has its benefits for the mother as well makes skin soft and smooth and hair healthier... And advice on what it does for pregnancies... I'm 24wks pregnant will it have any benefits this late?... Is it safe?... And is it worth it to take it this late in the pregnancy,?... Thanks in advance for the advice...

No, cod liver oil should be avoided.    You can get fish oil (that's not from liver) which is great for you and baby.

Anything made from the liver is bad because it contains too much vitamin a. Omega 3 is good but not cod liver
