I think how everyone sees the pain of contraction is totally different no one can describe it for another due too ppl having diff pain tolerances...
My first pregnancy and experience of contractions were belly tightening and pain getting worse and tightening stronger .. For me my pain tolerance is not all that got so when my contractions became continuous n stronger for me was like being kicked in belly with steel cap toe working boots...  But as I said each r too their own of pain threshold...  But it's a pain u can deal with and get through and within minutes forget about once u r finally holding your baby... If was not something you ccould cope with people wouldn't go on too have other children... U just got remember too breath and remember what you will be holding in u arms at finish line :)   good luck x

When mine were the real thing...I was hurting so bad in my lower back and my lower abdomen...I took three hot showers in four hours and no relief at all...I have really bad periods, so it felt like my period was on full force

Mine start out feeling like light menstrual cramps, as labor progress, meaning the more i dilate i start feeling like someone is pulling my tail bone apart, i have a low tolerance for pain

But don't let any other stories scare you...because all of us take pain differently...everyone's description of them will vary...just think about a tattoo if you have one, you know how that felt? Have anyone else describe theirs and you were like it was worse than that or it didn't hurt at all? It depends on the person...but I know for someone who's pain tolerance is less than mine, the contractions will hurt like hell

I have high pain tolerance too but I honestly am still not sure if they're braxton or not... If they aren't they aren't strong enough to be real deal... I can still talk to through them... Laying on side doesn't help... They're consistently 20 minutes apart, I slept semi ok through the night, waking up a ton. I still have 8 weeks to go :/

To me they were like ten times worse than your strongest Braxton Hicks...I did fine with my contractions because I have a high tolerance to pain...all of my nurses would be like, you know you having a contraction right??? Lol, because I was talking and watching tv through them so they were amazed...just breathe like you are suppose to when you have them and stay calm

From what i have felt like its strong cramping. Its a sharp pain in your stomach you will feel like your stomach is crunching the difference between braxton i think is that they go away when you take a hot shower and lay on your left side. I tried that on friday when i felt them.for the first time and it wouldnt go away!! Strong back pain and its like an electricity going up from your belly down i dont know how else.to describe thats what felt for me

Good luck getting a response, sorry mine isn't that great... I've asked this several times while experiencing braxton Hicks only for no one to reply. Still not sure, doctor said to wait until next appointment unless they're unbearable or something happens... Fun times :0/
