Cramps

I am 34 and just found out yesterday I'm pregnant. I'm probably 4-5 weeks. This will be my first. Is it normal to feel cramps like your period wants to start?

Cramps are normal. I cramped from week 4-6 I'm 7 weeks now and get them occasionally but mostly from gas and constipation. You should also expect to get them when your further along because your uterus is stretching! :-) if cramps become severe (not just bad but like severe) accompanied by blood then you should talk to your MD. Good luck and congrats!!!!!

Yes, in fact thats why i took a test at 6 weeks cause I thought from the cramps I was going to start my period. When it did not come I was confused. Lol the biggest warning sign is bleeding. If your bleeding call the doc.

I went in yesterday (7weeks) because I thought for sure I was cramping way too.much. nope, it was all normal.  Watch for bleeding, not spotting but bleeding, consistent.and severe cramping.  Most.likely you are fine but there is nothing wrong with calling your doc for peace of mind.

Sometimes. But just be careful and pay attention to any other signs like bleeding back pain anything like that. Sometimes with the first pregnancy things are stretching and a lot is going on in there so it may feel like cramps. and if it doesn't go away soon go see a doctor.

You can go see your dr. But, as long as it's just the cramping it is likely to be just growing pains.
