I got it bad this time, 24 hour morning sickness and trait triggered my migraines.
My OB recommended 50mg daily of b6, taking an iron free prenatal for a few weeks (as iron is known to make Nausea worse) and protein rich smoothies instead of solid foods first thing in the am. I tried that and a few days later was feeling almost normal.
Once you keep food down try and avoid getting hungry...protein snacks All day keep your blood sugars stabler which in turn helps keep your nausea at bay.
Your OB can also prescribe a nausea med to help I'd tr natural fixes don't work.
But Always mention this type of stuff to your OB so maybe at your next/first apt. let them know you've been sick
I agree. You should see your gp about that just to be safe. I caught the gastrointestinal virus with my first, and I ended up in labor at 37 weeks. Not to say it will happen to you, but illness like that can have an effect on you and your baby.
I never had morning sickness with my first, but I'm 15 weeks now with my second and I've suffered morning sickness since my 5th week. I was bed ridden until I started taking the wafers, and now I take them coupled with restavit at night to get me through the morning sickness. I still vomit and I can't eat A LOT OF stuff, but it's definitely getting easier in the 2nd trimester.
Morning sickness often lasts all day - 2nd time around I even had it when I woke up to go to the toilet at night. I made lots of bathroom trips in first trimester as well and started getting headaches around about 12 weeks.
Just try to hang in there, usually 2nd trimester is much easier on you. Then the 3rd comes and it's back to lots of toilet trips, pressure in pubic area and even hip/ligament pain as your body stretches everything out to prepare for birth!
Your symptoms sound completely normal but if you're really worried it can never hurt to see your Dr. Best of luck :)
Ask your dr. just to be 100% sure nothing bigger is going on and they can also give you something for nausea. There are certain headache medications you should avoid. I BELIEVE it is Tylenol that is safe but dont quote me on that. Yes, it does get better but not for a while usually by 2nd trimester you are feeling A LOT better but its different for everyone. Are you sure you dont have a bug? The vomiting I could pass off as normal but paired with diarrhea depending on how long it lasts could be potentially dangerous. I was pretty sick with my first two but not to the extent you are describing. I hope you feel better soon.. hang in there mama!
