Do you sometimes go into labor with no signs the day before?

Just want to cry.. due in
2 days and have no signs baby is coming. Besides losing my mucus plug a week ago and having what I thought was my bloody show but now thinking it was just some bleeding from my membrane sweep I had had the day before. Haven't felt any contractions and at last appointment I was still dilated to my same 2cm and 80% effaced as I was the week before. Feeling very disappointed and depressed. Didn't think I would be passing my due date but now that I'm 2 days away it's starting to look like I am :(

I experienced the same exact thing. My dude date was 1/8/15 and the day came and went. I was  in utter sadness and disappointed. Crying like crazy that day and telling my baby it's time to come out I eventually laid down to relax. At 11:30 pm I woke up to use the rest room and felt an involuntary trickle. Went back to bed, got up at 2:30am to again go to the restroom and felt another involuntary trickle. Long story short my water was broken. No contractions ever until I was induced. 24 hours later on Jan 10 my son was born. Hang in there your baby will come, and when it's all over you'll find yourself missing when you two were one.

With my first i past my due date with my second had him 2 days before due date with him i went into l&d becuz i thought my water broke and on my way to the hospital started to feel contractions  wich is like 5 mints from home got there and it was just too much mucus and i was already 5 cm dilated

my baby was due 11/8 but i was dilated at 2 on 10/28 without any pain or contraction then got sent home.  As soon as i left the hospital i got contraction and went back and went to 4.  Baby came same day.

Thanks I know soon she will be here. Idk why I'm feeling so anxious and impatient this time around. Just feels like everyday I'm still pregnant is another week lol

No this is my second. I was actually either 3 days late with my first or 7 days as I had 2 due dates. But with her I had signs she was coming a few days before she finally came.

BTW some people don't even have "the bloody show". With my first baby I lost my mucus plug at 32 weeks and was induced at 39 weeks because I had an amniotic leak. I know it's hard waiting and being patient when your so excited to meet baby, and of course I'm sure your uncomfortable but baby will be here sooner than you know it :)

Yes you can most definitely go into labor without having any signs the day before! Is this your first baby?
