So I went in for a ultrasound last Friday thinking I was 10 weeks. Dr said that I looked 11 going on 12 or possibly even 12 weeks! But this just doesn't make since - if I was 12 weeks that goes back to the exact day I started my period April 12th. Sex was April 23rd. I calculated conception April 26th. I know my dates because we have been trying for months!
Can this doc be wrong or is it possibly to get pregnant April 23rd (11 days after my period)? It just doesn't make since!!!
Our little one has a nose, lips, hands, feet, all clear as day on the sonogram!
The ultrasound dates are approximate based on size of the fetus. You could have maybe ovulated a few days earlier than you thought, or implantation may have occurred a day or two faster than average, or baby could just be growing like a weed in there. There is a possibility that when you go in for you 20 week ultrasound that the dates may line up a little more as you had thought. There are so many variables that a week or 2 is not a big difference. With my last pregnancy I got a bfp almost 9 days before my missed period!! Congratulations!!
