Early 1st Trimester

Hi, my name is Sarah, I am 27, and 4 weeks along with my first.

My husband and I are incredibly excited and we struggled for a little while to conceive. Even though i am very early in the pregnancy, I experience quite a bit of discomfort at night.  I wake up very bloated, so much in fact my jeans hurt around my waist, and at night I get moderate pains shooting through my pelvis.

Is 4 weeks too early to invest in a pair of maternity jeans to relieve some of the discomfort? And are these shooting pains in the pelvis normal?

Other than that, my nipples seem to be the only other thing that bother me, but I think if I bought some gel packs that help relieve breastfeeding pain, it would help.

Congratulations!!! My name is Sara and my husband and I struggled to conceive for a year but are now 5 weeks, I'm 26 and have been having smell issues, sore nipples and waking up throughout the night to pee a lot and I've been sick to my stomach too. Living in yoga pants or leggings but if you want Maternity stuff go get em! Spoil you and have fun, you deserve this and have waited long enough! Wearing my maternity tank today and love it :)

Maternity pants would be more comfortable they are made to fit the pregnant body and now they are made to fit when you get pregnant right up until after. I had to start wearing mine about six weeks in this pregnancy because of bloating to. Besides it's a good investment because you will need them and most people can't even tell they are maternity pants. Goodluck and congratulations!

Congrads!!! Maturity pants would probably not help much they cover your belly. Though if you have some nice loose dress pants or sweat pants, they could help. The gel packs are awsome and not only will they help now, but also when you become ingorged. Good luck hunn!
