I am pregnant with baby #5 and have had my last 4 natural. My 4th one was terrible! I had a post pardum hemorrhage and it hurt soooo bad. Eveyone is telling me to get an epidural and it will help with the pain and everything. Im just nervous because I've never had one. Im not due until Sept but I want to have a plan in place. Just looking for advise on which way to go. Thanks!
There are so many conflicting stories on this topic from what I have been told by friends who have gotten the epidural they loved it bcuz they felt no pain but they didn't like waiting for it to wear off and one says she has back problems for the shot I was initially thinking about the epidural but have recently been thinking about going drug free if all goes well as I have hbp and don't want to increase my pressure bcuz of pain so I am still weighing options my doc has also set up for me to meet the anesthesiologist to feel more comfortable with an epidural
I had my first son natural. Then was induced and had got my epidural with second. I was so afraid bc of all the stories but with this little miss i will getting one again. I was able to relax and the whole process was 4 hours long. From start to baby out!!!
I decided to try going without any medication with my son and I'm really glad I did! His heart rate was rock solid the whole time, no fluctuations whatsoever, no stress on him from the meds, and he was born so alert and calm. It was hard but it was awesome to see him so happy :)
