FAILED GLUCOSE TEST

I just got a call that I failed my glucose test. I am so disappointed and really don't want to do the three hour test. I have had five babies and never failed a glucose test.

A little. But even with normal sugar levels I never had a baby under eight and a half lbs which is what caused the fear that it could affect the baby's weight. But thanks it makes me feel a little better, I know all the technical side effects and all but if a nurse or Dr has not experienced it they know nothing. It is nice to hear from people who was a child of gestational diabetes or who has had it themselves.

I should not have failed though. They said I could eat two hrs before but I did not even eat or drink anything. The nurse said everything should have been normal because I did not eat the morning of, I can not imagine what would have happened if I would have eaten breakfast. This one will probably be failed also, no wonder I look like I am over due with triplets. My husband looked excited he wants the boy to be larger than the girls and my largest girl was nine lbs. I really hope I did not become diabetic and have to push out a fifteen lb baby. I think that is a big fear for me, I am a nurse and know what glucose issues do to pregnancy and baby size also the increased risk for a c section if the baby size is affected.

I failed my first one as well. Instead of sitting there the entire time waiting for the next blood draws, walk around a little. It will get your body working faster to break down the sugar how it's supposed to
