Feta... Damn you.

I am about 7 weeks 4 days pregnant and I had this delicious strawberry salad.. opened it up and bam! Feta cheese. I ate it anyway and tried to avoid the feta. Problem is, I know I ate some. Now I'm having a panic attack. I also ate a hot dog about two weeks ago and I guess that's also a big no no. Somebody please ease this FTM's mind... trying not to freak.. but I want nothing more than a happy healthy babe.

Xo.

As long as the Feta cheese is not imported, then you are fine. The USDA requires all cheeses sold in the US to be pasteurized. I eat all beef hot dogs, just make sure they are cooked/heated all the way through. I boil them, then place them in a skillet til they start to spit, yum!

I eat what I want and don't worry about anything. But I also don't eat fish. Just not a big fan. The only thing I'd worry about eating is food with mercury. My kids are perfectly healthy.  I personally think people worry to much about certain foods.

You have to be careful about feta and make sure it's pasteurized. Sometimes its not because many times its imported.

You should be okay, just try to avoid those things in the future. I really like corn dogs and sometimes it's all that works. If you had those things daily it might be more of a problem.
