Full placenta previa

Has anyy one ever had or has currently with they're pregnancy a full placenta previa? I'm a second time mom and they are telling me I have a full previa. They've known since about 14 week I'm now 26 weeks. The doctors have told me to start preparing that I will have a c section two weeks before my due date. I'm very nervous about the risks of bleeding and in extreme cases blood transfusions and at wrost a hysterectomy. Can you share your experience and what to expect. Thanks

I had placenta previa complete with this pregnancy. At 20 weeks I was still complete and at 26 I was just a few centimeters away from my cervix. You never know, I've heard of people who go in for their checkup the day or days before their surgery and are told it's moved! It could change at any time. And if you do have to do a csection it is better to do it early. If you were to go into labor on your own there are worse consequences. Praying for you!

That's exactly what I'm afraid for. I'm hoping I can make it to October. I'm trying to get stuff ready but I'm so nervous about the c section abd all the complications that come with a full previa

I had it with my last daughter.my placenta previa popped as I like to say. I was ment to be 30 weeks but after my emergency c section my daughter was 32.2. I lost 6 pints of blood on the table and was put in a comma to help my body recovery from the pain.

My advice is don't have sex (I wasn't told not to which is what happen before my big bleed)

Try and get everything ready for baby as early as you can I had nothing ready at all.

My mom told me the other day when we were discussing my anterior placenta that she had the full placenta previa for quite a bit of time when she was pregnant with me and then all of a sudden it shifted and everything was fine. And that was back in 85. Now a days drs have much better medical skills and knowledge and I was reading up on it sfter she told me and the best place you can be if you do end up needing the c section is the hospital because they can give you all the proper care! Im sure everything will be fine just know that drs will do whatever they can to help you!
