Getting my tubes tide

I told my dr that after i have my daughter i would like to get my tubes tied. She told me that if i had her vaginal that she would tie them 8 to 12 wks after delivery. So i was wonder how that process goes do they cut you open or do it vaginal?

^^^ a vasectomy is not 100% my brother nlaw had one and 10 yrs later my sisters pregnant

I'm getting mine done the day after I have the baby! They are gonna make an incision through my belly button

Good luck...i am not getting mine tied my husband realizes all that the woman goes through to have a baby and has agreed to get a vasectomy after our baby is born...

My doc told me about a procedure called ESSURE. Done vaginally. No incision. Surgery free, hormone free. Less than a day for recovery... lol im looking at the brochure. Says 99.83% effective. I think this is what im getting after i have my son.

Hmmm i wonder why my dr said 8 to 12 weeks after delivery im going to ask her about it at my next appt. Because id rather get it done sooner if possible. Thanks for the info.

Ima get my tubes tided aswel ...and my doctor said he can do it the next day if you have your baby Natural ..they do a lil. Slit by your belly button and cut them ...and then your good ....

There's many ways to "tie your tubes". It really depends how what doing if it's done open or laparoscopically. They can cut out a chunk, cauterize them shut, insert a coil type device, and literally tie them (which isn't that often despite the term everyone uses). None of those are done vaginally though.

I believe it's done laparoscopicly, which less invasive than being cut open. I'm getting my tubes tied during my c-section since I'll already be open!
