my doctor told me i could eat eggs or any kind of protein but no carbs or sugar. I'd rather be on the safe side tho so i chose not to eat until after

I had mine at 8:30 this morning they told me no food or drink other than water after midnight. Couldn't have anything to drink during the test either. I guess it just depends on the dr when they want you to stop eating and drinking. Goid Luck!

You are supposed to eat what you normally would in the morning but no food two hours before your test.  You can't drink water while you wait either.

I just got home from mine! They will give you a drink (hopefully flavored) you'll have about 5mins to drink it. You sit and wait for an hour then they take blood and send you on your way! Make sure you bring something with you to keep you occupied for the hour. Once its all over with treat yourself to lunch!
