Gluten free casein free

Just wondering if there's anyone else here on a gfcf diet and how they are dealing with cravings and getting adequate nutrition.

And i hate to do this, but after reading some of the posts/comments i feel the need to clarify in advance that i am not on this "diet" by choice, it is a medical necessity.

My 12yr old is on a gluten free diet...she has celiac. The only one in the house that has this.  There are isles in some stores that are gluten free. And it's not that hard. Sometimes she wants pastries but she gets sick if she eats gluten. It's hard to shop for her, and a bit expensive.  I have to read everything that I put in the cart. But it's not too bad. They have gluten free flower and stuff so I can bake cookies or cakes at home for her. Gluten free pastas. And normally I cook spaghetti and cook the noodles separate so we can both eat the same thing for dinner.

I follow a gluten free diet. I have celiac disease. So far it hasn't been easy. I used to pretty much live on tuna fish and lunch meat and now I can't have either. I'm afraid I won't get the nutrients my baby and myself need but I am trying. Luckily many grocery stores around me carry gluten free foods and there is a strict gluten free/dairy free/vegan bakery close by if I get a sweet tooth.

I was on a gluten free diet before getting pregnant.  ever since I've been pregnant,  i have no pain when eating gluten. I am enjoying this now because I have a feeling when I pop the baby out, I will need to go back on my gluten free diet.

It might take some calling around but there are alot of bakerys that will make gluten free baked goods. They just might have to be special ordered. Costco by me has a GF bread that they carry. Some stores will order in items for you as well. Just talk to guest services for more information.

sorry....They have GF Apple cinnamon flavored waffles, I found GF waffles where I live and decided they are gonna be a staple. I love the blueberry ones. I have craved donuts with the frosting, they do have GF donuts but I haven't found them near me..might have to order them online. I know there are good recipes for GF cinnamon rolls cuz my sister has made them before. I'd have to ask her for the recipe.

I've been gfcf for 3 years this july. I'm mostly worried about getting enough of the nutrients baby and i need. My last pregnancy i didn't know i had these allergies so i was able to eat what i wanted. I think my main issue is that i only know a handful of people who "do the gluten free thing", but they do it by choice and only dabble in it. I have absolutely no one that understands how hard it is to crave french toast, cinnamon rolls, etc and not be able to touch them. It *****.

I have been gluten free for about 8 years and was diagnosed with celiacs when I was a teenager. I have had a pretty easy time with being pregnant and gluten free since I'm very used to the lifestyle now and they have way way way more food products than they used to which helps a lot.

I've been GF for almost 5 years now. I got pregnant a year after I got married. I thought it wouldn't be too bad being GF and pregnant since I had been GF for awhile but it's not as easy as I thought it would be!

I am gluten free and pregnant. It is not easy! Especially since I've been nauseated and everyone tells me saltine crackers but can't have them. It has been a daily battle. If it's something I can have my husband is sweet and gets it for me right away because I've looked at donuts with my mouth watering but I know I can't have them. I eat what I can and as healthy as possible and take my prenatals and vitamin d that's about all we can do:)

I am not on a GF diet but I have 4 family members who have celiac so I know about GF diets. There are alot of options for food, snacks and treats now that are GF. Is there specific things you are craving? Things can be a little harder to find but where I live, even walmart has a GF sections now.
