Raw honey poses a botulism risk, that's why you can't give it to young children.

Gargle a mixture of equal parts of childrens liquid benadryl and peroxide. It doesnt taste the greatest or feel the best at the time of gargling, but it will relieve the soreness and it helps wash away bad bacteria!

Has to be raw honey though-the pasteurized stuff from the store is so processed, all the good stuff is gone. Honey is a natural anticeptic in its raw form, so even unpasteurized, its safe to eat while pregnant & it has tons of antioxidants besides!

I just got over this after 2 miserable weeks!! Raw honey with cinnamon. Hot lemon water with raw honey. Peppermint or green tea with raw honey. Chicken soup. Gargle with salt water. Tylenol & benadryl at night (to dry up your sinuses so you can sleep) with Vicks vapor rub on your chest for a cough, keep water & cough drips with menthol by the bed. A humidifier helps a lot too. Use Tylenol & clairitin during the day, and I used a 12 hour nasal decingestant spray as well (ask the pharmacist which ones are safe.) Drink TONS of water+blow your nose as often as possible to keep the bad stuff draining. I ate chicken noodle soup & drank Orange juice every day! Feel better mama!!

Yeah I know that knufrio, I was suggesting she talk to her doctor if her cold doesn't go away and they can prescribe something for her according to what she has.

Honey on its own works wonders, a spoonful can help coat the throat just make sure its pasteurized... Like the kind that comes in the bear.
Meganmalie antibiotics will only help if you have a bacterial infection (like a sinus infection or pneumonia) they won't cure a cold.

Thanks! Also if it doesn't get better with the over the counter stuff, talk to your doctor cause there are antibiotics you can take like the Z-pack. I never get sick except for when I'm pregnant apparently! Lol this is my third cold during this pregnancy, but this one is mild compared to the other two I had earlier in the pregnancy.

I'm 33 weeks pregnant and I have a cold too right now. First off you should've gotten the flu shot ASAP, if you haven't then go and get one. My doctor gave me a list of meds that you can take while pregnant and they include, throat lozenges, chloraseptic spray, you can also take regular Tylenol, Tylenol cold multi symptom, regular plain old Benadryl, you can also take robotussin if you have a cough, it has to be the basic one for cough only. If you're unsure which one to buy, ask the pharmacist.

Hot tea with honey is really good for sore throats. You can also have cough drops but any medicine you have to ask doctor first.
