Hair dye safe?

Hey guys! FTM here, curious if any of you dye or bleach your hair while expecting. I've read mixed reviews, some saying it's fine and some saying it's better to wait. I would love to bleach my hair, just wanting to mix things up a bit. I'm about 16 weeks. Any opinions?

I got a highlighted ombre using bleach between foils, none of it on my scalp. I waited until second trimester.

It's fine.. it's best not to get it directly on scalp. But I have done both with no ill effects.just put a fan on you so you are not breathing fumes.

They make a amonia free bleach made by chi that is what I use every 6 wks no problems and I'm not going to quit! I'm 30wk hopefully I will only have to do it one more time pregnant but I'm not scared to do it more! Just do n it in a ventilated area and u should be fine!

I would avoid bleach and amonia but I do

Oh as far as the bleach goes. It is safe because it does not soak into your scalp the same way hair dye does :) Hope this helps :)

You can dye as long as you use ammonia free dye.

I had to bleach my hair first then dye it.. I was 5 months I think... My son is doing just fine!!

I personally wouldn't bleach it due to the harsh fumes then our hair growz fast fue yo our vitamins we take but. U can dye it. Just keep it ventilated Nd drink plenty of water or u will be very dizzy. I dyed my hair at 10,wks. And now I need a touch up & now I'm 23 wks so good luck!

I know my list from my doctors said that its not something they recommend you to do. But if you do not to do it in your early trimesters. Cause I've deff. Been thinking about getting highlights I'm 32+ weeks but more than likely I'll just wait

My friend and I did.. had healthy babies. Just keep a well ventilated area .
