How to tell if your having twins

I get my first ultrasound to find out the sex when I'm 16 weeks. I'm paying for this special one. I'm 15 weeks 3 days and i thought I was going crazy when a week ago I heard 2 heart beats (strong and healthy) through my doppler. My mom and sister finally heard both last night too. My question is for moms who had twins or expecting twins, where did you hear their heart beats. Mine is left side close to the middle and far right just before my vain

My doc. Listened to me and them but they cant say anything until after the ultra sound to confirm. She kept moving the dopplar around though in two different areas. Your heart beat will be really loud theres is not as loud but really fast. Im having twin boys. I also looked alot bigger than norm

Have they not done an ultra sound on you at your first apt. That how a lot of women find out.

My doctor said he only gives ultrasound around 20 weeks. He says if your healthy and never had any complications like miscarriage or anything else he won't do. I live in Canada so I have ohip to cover it so it's not insurance it's just how he is
That is so weird what if it was just a sack and no baby ??? Are you stuck with that dr are all the dr in that practice that way.
I had a different doctor with my first but I was a lot further with her when I saw him than with this one. I can choose another if I like to. I bought a doppler for reassurance to make sure there is a heart beat. I'm getting a 3d ultasound done so it's not through my doctor. If twins he may give me an ultrasound right away but who knows. I see him may 9th.

You may be picking up your own heart beat. The only way to really know will be at your ultrasound!   Keep an date though :)
