Has anyone else with pcos found out that they were pregnant at 4 weeks and went full term?
I was pregnant back in 2009 and had a miscarriage before ever finding out that I had PCOS. After my MC, I immediately went through several fertility specialist and endocrinologist. I did everything except invitro. After all of the stress of infertility treatments, I decided that I would take control of my own health by doing a low carb diet and sugar free diet.
Although I only knew about one pregnancy, I have a feeling that I have had multiple MC's. I took two blood pregnancy test, and the second one was the quantitative which showed that I was just over four weeks, and that my progesterone levels had increased from the first blood test I had taken two days prior.
How I found out: last Sunday, I woke up about 1am with what I would consider severe cramps. I woke my husband up and told him that I may have needed to go to the hospital. He gave me ibuprofen and a sleeping pill, but an hour later, I had another round of the cramps. They were located right above my V, so very low abdominal. I believe that was implantation, but I am not positive. At least that's what I hope it was. I thought though, that these cramps came from me not being used to eating carbs (had whole wheat pasta that night) and were associated with my diverticulitis. When I went in to see my PD this last monday she thought I had a uti and had me take a urine test, which came out negative for pregnancy, and then set me up for a hida scan and ultra sound. She called the next day early in the evening telling me I was in fact pregnant. I guess now it's just a wait and see. It's really hard not to be anxious knowing my pcos history, and also finding out so early. I wish I would have found out after two months.
Have any of you found out this early & went full term without fertility treatments? If you have or haven't, what would be your advice to me, and what is your story?
