I wonder... gender neutral shower?

Okay, so it's early yet. Only 6 weeks. But I'm wondering about a baby shower for this kiddo. My son will be almost 4 when this baby arrives, we still have a lot of things so I'm not super sure we need to have a shower... but to make it more interesting, we aren't finding out the gender until birth. We use cloth diapers and I have all I'll ever use, so I don't need a diaper party. We will be breastfeeding exclusively except I'll pump while at work, so we don't need tons of bottles, just a few. We've got lots of boy baby clothes so there's a 50% chance we'll be all set but otherwise won't be buying things until after birth anyway. We have toys and blankets and crib sheets... I don't know what anyone would buy!
So my question is, should I wait until baby is born and then have a "sip and see" party so people can come and meet the little one and bring appropriate gifts if they choose to? Or should I have a gender neutral shower/sprinkle?

Sip and see or a party where you anouce the name, people will bring gifts. You can inforn people of the gender before the party.

Sounds like you really don't need a shower, and they are kinda tacky for second kids.

SIP N SEE!!!!! I'm pregnant with me third and that's what I'm doing. It gets all the visitors rounded up into one day and everyone can know what you need a few weeks after birth because you'll know!
