Inducing labor

Quick questions i have been told that if i get a pedicure it will induce my labor due to the foot massage?
Now im 37.4 days and was wondering if this is true. I really want a pedicure bc my feet are super swollen and it helps and feels great. Ive gotten pedicures and foot massages before but i was under 34 weeks. I still havent had contractions or anything so im just curious if its safe. Since i dont wanna go into labor yet not ready for baby

Chances are slim. I've never met anyone that went into labour after a pedicure or a massage.

It is true. It has to do with the muscle or tendon. My dad's massage therapist and yes they do teach that in school

You should be fine:) I got a pedicure at 38 weeks it was amazing because my feet were so swollen but it didn't do anything to induce labor

Actually it is true if the person doesn't know what they are doing. You learn it in school on areas to stay away from. You should stay away from home massages bc we dont know what to do. But to each there own

They say it only helps because of the oxytocin released. But if you get it and don't feel anything, why not?
