Is this early labor?

I'm 38.6 weeks and have been having Braxton Hicks like crazy.  Yesterday, I hiked 2 miles after church, and then last night, I had regular Braxton Hicks every 4-6 minutes for three hours until we went to bed.

I woke up three times before midnight with more Braxton Hicks, and they mostly disappeared in the early morning.  Since waking up 5 1/2 hours ago, I've been having regular Braxton Hicks about once every 10-12 minutes.  I don't really notice them when I'm working around the house, only when I'm still.  They're not painful.  Just a ton of pressure, and little pulling in my lower back.

Could this be my body gearing up for labor?

Keep timing them they may not b Braxton hicks I started having contractions with my first son at 27 weeks and they weren't painful at all just pressure. He was breeched and since I wasn't in pain or dialating they sent me home and scheduled me a c section.  But I had contractions for that whole time ( 7 days) so even if they aren't painful could still b starting inn labor. If they get closer and stay consistent I would go to hospital

Orchestra_2,  Yep.  And that's still where I'm at.  They're intense enough now that they've started occasionally waking me up during the night.  But still, only a few of them have been painful.  Here's to hoping we have our babies soon!

If they are regular yes you're gearing up for labor. Braxton hicks are not regular at all and are sporadic :) get ready!!
