Lactating

I'm 32 weeks and I haven't started lactating yet. Is that normal and when can I  expect to start.

I am 31 weeks into my 3rd pregnancy and I have never leaked while I was pregnant with any of my kids. Some women do but not all. I didn't have any issues with my milk coming in after their births either so don't worry

Right now, your breasts are preparing colostrum. Which is the milk the baby will receive first if you plan on breastfeeding. It doesn't always leak while you're pregnant. I have leaked a few times during my pregnancies but right now my breasts seem dry. When you have your baby, your milk will come in about 2-4 days after birth.  So it's normal not to leak while pregnant. Don't worry about it.. You'll know when it comes in :)

Some women start leaking at 20 weeks or even earlier especially if they've had babies before. I never leaked the whole time I was pregnant with my son but had colostrum immediately after birth, milk came in right on schedule a few days later, and I nursed him for two years. So I wouldn't worry about a thing, if I were you! It'll come in when it needs to.
