My mom said out of 4 kids she only knew of losing one! She thinks the others came out while in active labor!

With my first I had my bloody show. (Mucus plug with blood) & had her 2 days later. (I was 30 weeks) & with this one, I've been losing it since 27 weeks. I'm 34 weeks now. Most of the time, mucus plug doesn't mean baby.

I think its different for every woman. My friends came out a week before she had baby. I didnt lose mine until 5 hours into full blown labor, after my water broke.

Pieces can come out then it can regenerate again. I've slowly been losing mine for a couple weeks. I think it's now completely gone as of Thursday last week and I'm 39 weeks.
