I'm a first time mommy too . I'm 20 weeks I've lost 15 pounds but my doctor said the baby is fine and not to worry about it. So I wouldn't worry about it too much. Especially if the doctor says the baby's ok
With my first pregnancy I only gained 15 pound the whole pregnancy and I had him at 37 weeks. I'm only 35 weeks 6 days on my second and already gained almost 18 pounds this time. Every pregnancy is different and if your doctor says the baby is OK don't worry about it
Im a first time Mom too & was told it's normal to gain very little or none at all. I'm 32weeks tomorrow & I'm still under my pre-pregnancy weight. Throughout my pregnancy I would lose like 13 pounds then gain a couple back then lose them again. So don't stress out too much! (I know it's easier said then done)
At 20 weeks I had only gained 4 or 5 lbs. As you get into your 3rd trimester, you'll probably see an increase in the rate at which you gain weight. I'm now at 36 weeks and have gained 15 lbs, which is right where my doctor wants me to be, given I was overweight when I got pregnant.
Just make sure you're getting the proper nutrition, that's what really matters.
If the doctor says the baby is fine and is healthy, then I wouldn't worry. I've hardly gained any weight with my pregnancy and I was a little on the small side before getting pregnant. Now at 28 weeks, I've only gained 11 pounds (about 4 kilos) and most of that has been in the last 2-3 weeks (more than half of that). My little guy is actually on the bigger side of average for how far along he is and my doctor isn't concerned about the lack of weight gain since he's developing so well. They will for sure let you know if the baby isn't gaining weight as he/she should be. Otherwise, I wouldn't worry too much about the number on the scale. All women gain weight differently during pregnancy and differently from pregnancy to pregnancy. I even has a friend that lost 10 pounds (almost 4 kilos) over the course of her pregnancy and her little boy is completely healthy. I'm sure everything is ok. Trust your doc to tell you if there's an issue. If it's really bothering you, I'd encourage you to bring it up with your doctor.
It depends on the weight u started with. If ur very petite then ull put on more weight. If ur bigger size ur supposed to put on a lot less. Actually very little. But as long as baby is growing u really don't have to put on to much weight.
