Natural ways to induce labor

Hello ladies I really need some help. I am going into my 38th week and I am really tired of being pregnant. I have been 1 cm dilated for over three weeks now and the doctor said he will not induce until my due date which is September 8th. Can anyone give me some advice on natural ways to induce labor or help jumpstart things that will not cause any harm to me or my baby. Most people are telling me about caster oil but I really don't want to try that because I hear it causes bad diarrhea

Your 38 weeks. You can do whatever you want to try to speed the process up but most women's bodies aren't ready till closer to 40 weeks so the methods will only work if your body is ready. My first came at 38.5 weeks with no intervention although we did have sex prior to my labor. I am 40.3 weeks today and nothing I try works. I too was 1 cm since 36 weeks but finally changed to 2  and 50% effaced at my 40 week appointment on Friday. Good luck but since you aren't even due yet you may have to be patient especially if your a FTM. On average they are 5 to 9 days late.

I'm not sure if anything will work until baby is ready to come out. I went into labor with my first after the doctor checked me and I went home and walked a ton. Second baby walking didn't work. They come when they are ready. You are almost there! :)

I've tried castor oil my second pregnancy didn't work just sent me to the bathroom. Also made me feel sick every time somebody mentions it now. That same pregnancy I ate pizza until I was stuffed which was 5 slices and my water broke. So all I can say is good luck and everything that work for some won't work for you.

With my third I tried the acupressure point just up from my ankle a few times but there's another spot on your baby toe and whether it was a coincidence or not I was in labour 2 hours later.

Acupuncture and a lot of walking did it for me.

I know someone who tried eating loads and loads of pineapple to induce naturally... don't know if it worked though

I am 39 weeks an have tried everything but castor oil for the same reason! Nothing has worked obviously! I am having a ton of contractions but not progressing BUT this is what I personally have tried, maybe it will work for you; raspberry keytone tablets, evening primrose capsules, figure 8s on birthing ball, spicy food, taping marbles to pressure points in ankles, pressure points on webbing of hands and in center of Palm, sex, nipple stimulation, bouncing on birthing ball, walking, stairs, I am sure I have done a few more but those are the ones that I can remember right now! Good luck!

Ps don't tell me if it works for you, I might cry!  lol!!! oh one other thing I haven't tried but heard it works is going for a drive over those belly hills and bumps...I don't want to break my car and figured the bouncing on ball was the same difference
