I was induced as a ftm they put gel in my vagina two times was 1cm dilated by morning they sweep my membranes or whatever got me to 4 cm by 5 at 7:30 I opted for epidural right before they broke my water as soon as they broke my water my baby's heart rate dropped down to 80-100 from 140-160 for 4 hours it was like that then they rushed me in for emergency C-Section cause her heart rate was so low when they took her out the umbilical cord was wrapped around her neck two times.

I just had my son on Monday. This was my 3rd pregnancy, but my first being induced. I was really nervous like you. I was being induced because I was late. My induction was scheduled at 3 pm. I didn't have a lot of time to get ready because I had had a dr appointment at 1:15 that day. Luckily, I had my bags in my car already lol. Registration took a little bit. I got IV Pitocin started at 4:30 pm. I was 4 cm at admittance. Got my antibiotics started at 5 pm. I was group b strep +. Got my epidural at 5:30. The pitocin made my contractions start pretty quickly and it didn't ease in. They were painful to me,even though they weren't that strong.  My blood pressure and heart rate were through the roof and they were hoping the epidural would bring it down. My water broke at 7:30,before I had had my antibiotics in me for 3 hours. I was 5 cm after they checked me. At 7:50,I told them I was feeling a ton of pressure. I was at 10. However, my dr wasn't there so j knew I had to hold my son in. I had to do it with my second too lol. 8:20 my dr finally arrives lol. Gets ready. I'm yelling for him to hurry up lol. It's time to push and he was out in 1 push. 8:27. It was a lot different starting off,but after I got the epidural it was pretty much the same. Good luck! I was incredibly nervous too but getting to meet my little man was worth all the pain :)

Ur welcome. .N no I don't remember the medicine which I did. I'm glad my post helped u out. It's really not that bad to be induced. It made me feel way more in control n safe to know that I was surrounded by experienced medical ppl from the start. My husband also liked that. It helped him relax n not panic.

Both my previous pregnancies I was induced at 37 weeks due to low amniotic fluid. My experience were great. I had everything ready for check in day. Went to have a nice romantic lunch with the hubby n then we both went into the hospital feeling great nervous but relaxed. I had a nice big room waiting n the nurses helped me get comfortable with blanket n pillows n whatever I wanted. They then inserted some medicine in my vagina n just waited a few hours later I got some back pain n contractions started. Then water broke shortly after n I went in at 5pm by midnight I was almost fully dilated n by 3am baby was born. It was not painful. Of course some pain. But I dialated very quickly I didn't even know. I went from 6 to 10 in less then an hour. When the nurse came to check me. She said do not push cuz baby will come out. The had the doc in like 5 min. He said don't move. Then he got his gown ready I just pushed 3 times n the baby was out. It was quick. I liked that I was monitored since I got there n I was very calm cuz I knew I was being monitor all the time. No need to stress at home wondering if it was false labour or if something was wrong or rushed to the hospital.  Everything was so relaxed. Hope u have the same experience as me. I'm honestly hopping I get enduced again. It's so much more convenient. Oh n the baby never had any problems either. Was fine when he was born n when home with me the next day.
