Pain in previous c section scar.

Hi :) I am currently 28 weeks pregnant and for the last two weeks I have had pain in the area of the scar from my first c section. It keeps getting worse each day and is interfering with daily task and sleep. It was an emergency c section the first time as there was no progress in labour and the obstetrician at the time was horrible. I have seen two separate obstetricians who seem to think its because my baby is measuring quite big and there may be risk of rupture. I would have loved to have a VBAC and was wondering if anyone could give me any advice from their experiences? Feeling a bit scared at this point after my first experience was a terrible one!!

Thank you hun! That would have been so scary to be able to feel them working on you. I do hope the birth is a much better experience for you this time around.. I will definately keep you in my thoughts.. The closer it gets the slower time seems to go and its just so uncomfortable!! Im from aus and i think tylenol is paracetamol? I was advised to have that and codiene but feel the same as you. If theres anyway you can let me know how you go please feel free to do so.. Just have to hold on to the excitment of meeting our beautiful babies ❤

Aww that sound's horrible. Yea they believe my baby girlt is 6.5lbs now & I'm 37+3. She may be 7 at birth & I'm due in 12 day's via csection. I have horrible pelvic girdle pain & a bad pinching pain in my cervix, Vag, & it shoot's down my thigh's. They wnt do anything & tell me to take Tylenol bt the amount I need make's me uncomfortable so I dnt. I too had a bad experience the first time. The day before I was due my waters began leaking. By early morning I went to er, they broke my water about 8 hrs later. I ended in a csection after about 18 hrs bc my son wasn't tolerating the contraction's & I still had a long way to go since I wasn't progressing. The epidural was working so I felt no contraction's & was given more bt it wasn't enuf to numb me for the actual surgery so I felt them cut, freaked out, & was put under. After the traumatic experience I'm pretty nervous about it this time around with a spinal, that neck down thing is crazy to me. The epidural was only waist down I jus didn't have enuf time. My recovery was good tho bt I cnt imagine it opening back up. My daughters leg's have only measured a wk & 3 day's since 18wks. Praying all goes well for us & a speedy recovery.

Thank you for all your replies. It has been 6 years since my first. I'm scared as the experience of my first was horrible.  I went in on a monday having contractions but wasnt making any progress what so ever. On tuesday I had my waters broken for me and an epidural. I only ever dialated to 4cm and they still let me go until Wednesday afternoon when they decided to block me from the neck down and tell me I needed an emergency c section or I wouldn't make it. I was exhausted at this point. It was notonce explained to me what was actually happening and I felt pretty out of it by then. I am only a small person myself and my baby was 8 pound 10. A week or two after at my incision started opening up... it was not something i would want to go through again. At my last ultrasound in my current pregnancy my baby measured a week and half ahead in size.
The pain I have been experiencing stops me in my tracks. Ive been in tears and cannot sleep. Ive always had the burning feeling on and off but this is the type of pain I'm ready to go to the hospital for. Like constant cramping and tearing type pain. Sorry for the huge reply.

Not sure how long it's been for u bt I had an eptopic pregnancy in May of 2007,right tube & pelvic adhesions removed. They went in th same way as a csection bt a smaller incision. I got pregnant shortly after & delivered my son via csection the following March due to early fetal distress & I also was not progressing. That was almost 8 years ago. I am now 37 week's witht my daughter & have been feeling burning in my incision since 23 week's. My doc's have never once beent concerned. It's jus stretching. Burning in a previous incision is hardley an inclination that ur uterus isn't strong enuf or baby is too big. Mt daughter is estimated not to be more than 6.5lbs at birth if that. I am very small & my son was 5.12lbs,19in. The main concern is the time between one csection from to the next. Like I said its been almost 8 year's since I had my son & over been having that painful burning since 23 week's. It hurts now more than ever. LOL I'll have my daughter in 14 day's. Good luck!

I had an emergency c section with my first too. I've had some pain in the scar but been told its from the baby stretching and growing. I asked my Dr. About vbac before too and he said its my choice but if I'm having pain in the scar that could mean it may not be so strong and that wouldn't be the best choice.
