Past due :(

Hi ladies! My due date was Saturday, Dec. 6. This is my first baby and I've heard it's normal for FTMs to go past their due date. I'm just reallllly tired of being uncomfortable and ready to meet this little guy. Last Tues. I wasn't dilated any. I have an appointment Thursday and am hoping for good news. My doctor's office told me they'd let me go a week over and then they "have some tricks up their sleeves."

Have many of you been induced before? I hear horror stories about how long and terrible it can be. Any advice or words of wisdom is much appreciated! Thanks!

It's really not horrible to be induced. I too was induced with my first at 40+6 and was scared out of my mind freaking out I'd have a c section. My Dr warned me I was high risk for c section since I'm very narrow down there and baby was measuring big. I delivered vaginally after 13 hours...start to finish. It really wasn't bad, I got an epidural at 3cm dilated. Pushed for less than an hour but I think my 3rd degree tear was worse than actual birthing my baby! You'll do great mama!
